CENOTE PASS

Trip planner

A real day at a time: one cenote in the morning while it is quiet, lunch, and a ruin, cave or town in the afternoon. The drive times are estimates and the plan says so.

How this was put together

  • One cenote a day, in the morning while it is still quiet — then lunch and something dry in the afternoon.
  • The kinds of cenote are spread across the trip rather than repeated.
  • Days run outward from your base, so the longest drives come later in the trip.

What this plan does not know

  • We hold no opening hours for these cenotes, so the order is geographic — check each listing before you set out.
  • No prices are confirmed, so there is no cost here. Where a listing shows a range, it is what public sources report, not what you will pay.
  • Drive times are straight-line distances stretched for real roads. Treat them as a shape, not a schedule.
  • Some stops are pinned to the middle of a town rather than the gate, so their drive is rougher than the rest.
  • 1 of these days have no ruin, cave or town within reach of the cenote, so the afternoon is yours. We would rather leave it open than invent something.
